dUCkscarves satin silk

Salam and Hi!

How are you?  Whatever it is, just be happy and smile. Don't forget to do good things to your love ones and people surrounding you. Ok, after such a loooong break from the previous post, maybe this time i want to review about one of the famous dUCkscarves (DS) premium basic edition: The satin silk.

I did notice that most of this blog visitors read about the DS review. Initially i start up this blog  to share my experience on National Angkasawan Program spaceflight experiment, but it turn up more readers are interested with DS.. Amazing.

Ok, back to dUCkscarves silk satin story..

In my opinion, this is the best satin silk shawl in the market right now. The material is very soft, luxurious, and flowy unlike any other brand of satin silk shawls. You can easily style this scarf and it flows nicely. The colours are so tempting and rare. I don't owe all the colours obviously because of the price (haha..), but i choose very rare colours like lemon curd and olive tree green satin silk. Have to think about economy as well.. hihi. But if you look for satin silk shawl, this is the best so far.... This material is versatile as you can wear it during casual or formal. I notice Vivy loves to don this satin silk during photo shoot and her TV series.

All photos are from google image. Photos are from dUCKscarves instagram and FV website. The flat lays look amazing.  No 1 is lemon curd. No 3 is olive green satin silk. But you must look for this pistachio below.. very nice colour

Update: D has restocked the old time favourite satin silk duckscarves colours like  black olive, mulberry (cray cray), hammam, rose tea, green but all gone within few minutes (for some of them) or hours. I really want the black olive actually.  For today restock, only 2 colur left, blue wave and strawberry milkshake when i open the FV page around 8.30 am. Then D has

Before that, can i show how endothelial cells look like after surviving a spaceflight mission. These cells are survived after being living in space for 12 days. These cells were brought to International space station (ISS) by our Angkasawan, Dato' Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar. Why we want to study the effects of spaceflight travel on these endothelial cells? In brief, we want to know whether and how these cells can adapt to the space environment with zero gravity and other stress  factors. These cells are important in the development of atherosclerosis (blockage of the artery) that can cause heart attack, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases. From this maybe, we can venture into new therapy on how to prevent this disease from happening. It will give benefits to the astronouts as well as to all mankind. That is the space research all about. Like WIFI that we have now, is from the technology of space mission.

These are the endothelial cells look like after surviving 12  days in space. The cells become larger with elongated cytoplasm. It actually shows that this cells became stress after 12 days in space. It look very different from  normal cells as shows below:

See, very much different right. The normal cells are smaller and have an eye shape . But after all, SubhanAllah, is a beauty right? You can read in details  here. http://www.mjpath.org.my/2012.2/space-flight-travel.pdf.

or search this title:  Real spaceflight travel is associated with ultrastructural changes, cytoskeletal disruption and premature senescence of HUVEC.

Perhaps can be a new design for next DS printed edition .. (hihi).

Ok, thats all. Such a loong post. Sorry about that.. hihi.

Best regards

Part 1: Guide for simple statistical analysis by using SPSS

Salam and Hi!

In this post, I would like to share with you on my little knowledge about statistical analysis. I have been doing this sooo many years during my postgraduate studies. So these are some of my notes on simple statistical  analysis using SPSS. This can be useful if you want to report your experimental results, can be from your tissue culture, animal or human studies in a thesis or research articles.   I think  nowadays, few universities require at least you have published 1 research article or 2 papers before your MSc or PhD viva respectively.

Why you need statistical analysis for your data?
- Is a kind of love & hate relationship
- To know if any differences in your data is significant of not
- To verify/prove your research hypotheses
- To report your result in manuscript/thesis

How to analyse your result?
- The easiest way by using SPSS software.  This analysis software is acceptable for data   publication in a research article
- Relook at your research objectives in your proposal. You need to analyse your data according to your research objectives.
- Example type of analysis- can be controls vs. treatment groups, between different cell types of treatment groups, different treatment time points etc.

Before data analysis, you need to do these:
1) Key in your data in SPSS (need to define types of your data whether it is numerical or categorical)
2) Clean your data (make sure no missing data or error while key in your data)
3) Check distribution of your data (is it normally distributed of skewed?) by Kolmogorov Smirnov Test or by histogram graph.

Note 1: You need to check distribution of your data to decide the types of test that you need to perform; Parametric test (for normally distributed data) and  Non parametric test (for skewed data)

Note 2: However for cell culture work, normally the data is analysed using parametric test (reason: result in cell culture work usually consistent , not much variation within the data).

Note 3: For in vivo work (human or animal studies), need to check the distribution of the data to choose the suitable statistic test.

Ok. Till then,

Best regards,

Part 2: Perkara menarik mengenai Program Angkasawan Negara 1

Satu persatu langkah harus diterangkan secara terperinci (mmg nak menangis juga masa buat semua dokumentasi on top of buat all the lab experiment), tapi the experience is priceless.

Dalam jarak kurang 50 m (if tak silap).

Dr SMS sempat jawap "I will".

Ok. Sampai sini dahulu.

Panjang sangat dah post ni..

Terima kasih'

Program Angkasawan Negara (PAN), penyelidikan saintifik bahagian 1

Salam dan Hi..
Update: Maybe, i should translate this page in English, soon, In Shaa Allah.

Mac- 2007 - May 2007 - Optimasi kaedah penyelidikan.

Ok.. Cukup setakat ini dahulu.

Terima kasih

Favourite Malaysian bloggers

Salam and hi,

Today, i would like to review my favourite bloggers. All of them are lifestyle blogger and i can say that they are sucessful in their own way.

1) Aishah Amin.
I always  love the way she does her fashion styling. Very modest yet fashionable and up to date. She giving up her career to raise  her two lovely children and help to build her family bussiness.(afarfar place.. if i'm not mistaken) Very much respect for her.

2) Namee Roslan.

A young  mother of two adorable sons. I love  her writing style which is simple and catchy. The way of her giving preview of products are very convincing.. Is  like will makes u immediately searching for that particular product. Maybe thats why she claims herself as  an influencer. She has her own skin care product, The Luminicious. Looks like her product receive good response from her customer. Maybe can consider to  check out her product. I like her to read her post about how struggle she is to raise her small children on her own without maid/helper. And she is not too much on having an option of getting a maid as a solution to her problems. I share a same opinion with her, unless if we can get a good maids which can be trusted, reliable, sincere, honest etc... then it is ok.

3) MAMFEO
From her writing i can sense that she is so motherly, lovely and down to earth person. Although with the highest education, she is very humble, modest and have a very simple realistic life. Love to travel all over the world and spending time with her beloved families. Sometime life is not about always go to a fancy cafe, attend to fancy food places and events, expensive vacations, expensive cloths etc... (More related to me, don't feel offense ok). We have to read about real things, real life... etc.

I do read  a lot of blogs but these are among my favourite.  But i hope i can find more blogs with focus more on sharing ideas especially related to my work interest.

How about you?

Sincerely,

dUCkscarves review

Salam and Hi everyone!

I did say in my previous post that i will not share much about fashion.. but, obviously i lie about it now.. hihi.
Actually, i want to share with you about the latest scarves trend in Malaysia according to the brand which is the dUck scarves (DS).. so much temptation about this scarves. Why a lot of shawl fans  looking into this expensive DS while you can actually get a shawl for about RM 15 per pieces? Not to mention about this DS lovers are willing to stay overnight to fight for the scarves especially the limited edition one.   It must be something right?

Photo captured from Google image

These are some of the reason that i can compiled from my research:

1) Vivy Yusoff, the founder of dUck Scarves. She has a very famous blog, the proudduck. She starts her blog long time ago since her Uni days and the way she writes attracts many readers all over the world until now. This is one of the source where the DS fans come from. A part from that, she is the co-founders of FashionValet (FV) with her beloved husband. That is why obviously DS are selling thru FV. She has a very good taste/sense in fashion and that is why she is also a style blogger/celebrity/influencer. She publish her OOTD in her instagram everyday and everytime all the outfits she wears is going to be sold out at the FV website.

2) Colours and materials.  The earlier edition was more to dark colours. Now DS producing vibrants and pastels colour. The choice of colours are brilliant, irresistable and some of the colours are not easy to find on the shelf/usual outlet. DS offers variety of materials such as georgette, satin silk (this material is cray cray) bamboo cotton, peach skin and jersey. Is up to your preference which one is the best materials.

Photo from google image

3) Packaging
The scarve come with a beautiful purple box (for premium range edition) and a matching printed box (for LE range) wrapped with white ribbon. Perfect gift to someone you love or to your lady boss.
Purple box for premium range  (Photo from google image)

Boxes for LE range (Photos are from google image)

3) Exclusivity. This is refer to DS Limited edition (LE)  range. DS has released some limited edition printed scarves such as the blurred lines, kaleidoscope, weave duck, aere x duck, KL duck,  kaleidoscope the square duck and the latest temptations are the blooming duck and Singapore duck, duckscarvesxBowerhous (Gone within 5 minutes online (+) during its first release) and kl duck with swaroski (also gone 5 minutes after launch in FV website),very impressive. Latest editions are world map duck and perhaps Royal duck x HRH Princess Sarah. Some people love to own exclusive design of the scarves so that they can be very confident in crowds.  Imagine if there are massive production of one particular design of scarves. You can imagine in one event/place there are maybe 2 or 3 people wearing the same printed scarves. It will create a very unhappy feeling right? So there comes a  role of limited edition scarves. In addition, if the owners upload  photos of her wearing LE DS in  instagram, everyone will like, wah! she own that LE scarves. How lucky she is and then asked if she wants/willing to sell  the scarves as preloved.. haha.. cute isnt it?
Pink Kaleidoscope (being hunt by DS lovers) - Photo credit to FV

This blue kalei is also being hunt by DS lovers, very rare - Photo credit to FV

4) High price for preloved and new DS especially the LE. Suprisingly, the preloved DS can be sold at at least third quarter of original price. It is amazing right? Preloved pink Kaleidoscope shawl  and blurred line can be sold at RM1500 (so far this is the highest price that i know).  There was also a bidding session happened for LE DS and can sell up the double/triple from the normal price. So if you are happened to make mistake will purchasing DS maybe not match your skin tone etc, not to worry, you can resell it at even in original price.

5) dUck community. It is very fun to join DS community, Just look for #duckscarves and can make friends and share ideas, styling/swabbing, DS tutorial etc.

I think that is all for now. This is my honest review of DS. No sponsored one ok.. hihi. Its just that i'm really glad that there is one local brand that manage to go abroad and that can represent our country.

So, if you would like to give any feedback, you are welcome to do so. Perhaps your experience with dUCkscarves, most favourite DS premium range material or anything.

 Thank you

Hi!

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim,

Dengan Nama Allah yang Maha Pemurah lagi Maha Pengasihani,

Salam dan Selamat Sejahtera,

Hi! In this my first post, i'm actually confuse whether i should write in Malay or English. I'm fine with both languages or maybe either or..hihi.. depends on my mood.

In this blog, hopefully  i can share some most simple valuable experience to all of you. Maybe not so much on fashion but maybe on education (Wah..), food (i love food) and some other simple stuff.  Actually, i want to share about my experience involved in spaceflight experiment some time ago during first  Program Angkasawan (astronout) Negara (PAN) or National Space Program. Yes, you can find summary of the findings in the ANGKASA website.

However, when i browse thru some blogs and website belongs to this space program related people, some of the comments i read from that website, they wanted to know about the scientific research of this Angkasawan Program and also the outcome of spaceflight experiments.  So i think, it is maybe my role and responsibilities here to share some of my experiences (maybe once in a life time experience like our Angkasawan), but who knows if there is a second Angkasawan programme.

So what do you think? Is it a yes or a nay....

Do give me feedback ok...

Thank you

Yours sincerely
